Do you have the drive and enthusiasm to lead and further develop the excellent SEND provision in our successful, high-achieving and popular boys’ school? Due to our Inclusion Leader making Aliyah in July, we seek an Inclusion Leader from June (preferable) or September. The post holder will have a record of success in focusing on the needs of individual children with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities. The successful candidate will: • carry out the duties as detailed in the SEN Code of Practice, ensure best practice and help us meet the requirements of children with SEND; • be a qualified teacher, with experience of working in mainstream schools; • work to the principle that every child matters; • be accountable for the outcome of vulnerable learners and low achievers; • lead a culture where supporting SEND is a shared responsibility; • actively seek opportunities to further improve and develop the school’s SEND provision; • be organised and methodical, able to prioritise effectively and communicate effectively with colleagues, families and external agencies; • be an active member of the Senior Leadership Team; • hold the national SENDCO qualification or commit to achieving this within 3 years.
